providing Foreign Weapons Familiarization training to 250 US Marines at
Quantico Marine Corps Base in Iraq/Afghanistan Area Foreign Weapons as
part of their Pre-Deployment training.
 
IPS provided hands on instruction and firing
familiarization in the AK47, SKS, PKM, RPD and RPK machineguns. The
training was overwhelmingly well received and we received top marks from
the USMC.
 
Comments from the USMC DD Form 1556 on the training:
"Course was outstanding. Every Marine trained commented on how
motivating the training was. The instructors were very professional and
understood our need for thorough training on the subject....The course
provided enough instruction and ammo to ensure every Marine was
familiarized with all of the indigenous weapons.

International Police Supply (IPS) can provide your
Department, Agency or Military Unit with demonstrations of current
semi-automatic, automatic and suppressed firearms at your Range.
We can provide additional training for your Department's specialized units
- SWAT, HRT, CLET, Gang Unit, Police Academy Classes, etc. One of our most
popular demonstrations is our "Global Automatic Weapons Familiarization
Briefing". In this informal course held on your Department's range,
IPS will bring a large sampling of Automatic and Suppressed weapons from
around the world, spanning the major wars of the 20/21st Century.
After a static display and explanation of the merits and weaknesses of
each weapon, a sampling of the weapons are brought downrange and the
Department's members are invited to fire the weapons in order to become
familiar with the loading, unloading, making safe, and capabilities of the
weapons systems demonstrated. The actual weapons fired can be
selected to provide training in weapons systems deemed most educationally
beneficial to the students. This training allows the Officers to
learn the capabilities of weapons that they ordinarily do not get to see
during their "normal" training and learn how to safely unload weapons that
they may encounter during their duties.
These training blocks make an otherwise mundane range training day a more
exciting and educational experience for all involved. Timing of the
training can be used to "break up" the days Departmental training to keep
students fresh and interested throughout the day.
Some weapons/course available for training include the following:
Threat Area Weapons - AK47, Krinkov, RPK, RPD, PKM,
Dragunov Sniper Rifle. This is a 3 day course and includes both
classroom and range time. Course prepares graduates to return to
their home unit and 'teach' what they have learned to their troops.
This course can be watered down to a 1 day basic familiarization course
for pre-deploying units or agencies.
HK Series Weapons - MP5 family, G36 family, G3, UMP,
MP7A1, HK 416. This is a one day course that includes instruction on
the salient features and characteristics of the HK roller block system, as
well as discussion of the 'newer' HK weapons systems - G36, UMP, MP7A1 and
HK 416. Breakdown/assembly of each weapons system is covered, and
familiarization firing is completed with each weapons system to allow the
students a comparative experience with each of the weapons series.
Modern SWAT Weapons - HK MP5, HK MP7A1, HK G36, HK
MP7A1, LWRC SSP M6A2, FN P90, B&T MP9, M203 Grenade Launcher, M249 SAW.
Suppressed Weapons Systems - Features suppressors by
Gemtech and Surefire. Suppressed weapons systems include: MP5, P90,
Remington 700, HK USP Tactical .45 pistol, Colt 9mm SMG, UMP45, Colt M4,
LWRC SSP M6A2.
Other courses are available in:

series weapons; UZI series weapons; World War II Weapons: German MP40, Russian PPSH41, MG34,
M3 Grease Gun, Thompson SMG, British Sten Soviet Block
weapons: AK47, Krinkov, RPD, RPK, PKM; Modern Machineguns:
MP9, FN FAL, P90, M249 SAW, MG3, UZI, Sterling SMG, MAC10,
and Disguised Weapons.
 
IPS is also available to provide Security Audits of Police Department,
Municipal and Court Facilities. Our audits include a controlled (but
confidential) "intentional breach" of building security with a variety of
disguised weapons to test the effectiveness of security personnel and
screening apparatus. After the breach, a debrief is conducted with
the senior staff and security personnel in order to ensure that the event
is a learning experience for the staff. A written report is also
provided to senior staff at the conclusion of the exercise.
