Centerfire Pistol Suppressors

BLACKSIDE:

The Blackside replaces the SOS-45 suppressor in a shorter, lighter weight, more efficient package. Extensive testing has demonstrated that a recoil booster is necessary for most weapons, and is included in the suppressor. Highest performance is achieved with only a minimal amount of artificial environment (such as light oil), and dry it outperforms all current .45 caliber pistol suppressors. The mount features positive stop threading to reduce thread wear and provide proper alignment on 1911 and other pistols.

Constructed of high tensile strength aluminum alloys heat treated to Gemtech specifications, this unit does not utilize any bore obstructing "wipes" or mesh. The advanced frequency shifting baffle design creates outstanding performance. With complete suppression of the muzzle flash signature, this device is an exceptionally effective tool for tactical users.

The Blackside is currently available threaded either M16x1-LH for the HK USP Tactical and 0.578-28 for the Glock-21, 1911, and other barrels.

BLACKSIDE-40:

The Blackside suppressor is available in .40 caliber for a number of handguns designed for the .40 S&W cartridge. Specifications and pricing is the same as for the .45 caliber version. The Blackside-40 suppressor is threaded 9/16x24 (2A). On special order it can be supplied threaded M14.5x1-LH for the HK USP Tactical in .40 caliber.

EXTENDED BARRELS: With the exception of the HK SOCOM, FNP-45 and USP Tactical pistols, weapons will require an extended barrel for suppressor mounting. It is the customer's responsibility to obtain extended barrels, which Gemtech can thread for a nominal charge. 
 

The FN 5.7 pistol has become a favorite because of its large magazine capacity, varied ammunition available, and its chambering for the 5.7x28 cartridge designed for the FN P90 personal defense weapon. In early 1998, Gemtech developed our SFN-57 suppressor specifically for this weapon at the request of FN Manufacturing. It is threaded M10x1mm for the factory extended threaded barrel, and also fits the aftermarket EFK Firedragon and Jarvis barrels.

To this day, the Gemtech SFN-57 suppressor remains the most efficient and lightest weight suppressor available specifically for this impressive handgun. It can also be used in subcaliber role on .17HMR, .22lr, and .22 Magnum calibers.

BARREL NOTES: For the FiveSeveN pistol, an extended, threaded barrel is required.

9mm suppressor family

The Multimount system is a further enhancement of the proven Vortex-9 suppressor. Similar in performance and appearance to the Vortex-9, the Multimount features a series of user changeable rear mounts to enhance the versatility of the suppressor. Additionally, in the re-design process, the overall length of the suppressor was shortened by 1/2 inch without degrading performance. The Multimount is the most compact and lightweight dry sound suppressor available for the 9mm semi-auto pistol. It is designed to achieve full suppression potential absolutely dry without resorting to the use of performance boosters such as oil, water, grease, or other artificial environment technologies.

The Multimount suppressor can be ordered with a variety of mounting systems:

THREAD MOUNT: The thread mounting version provides reliable cycling with the M9, SIG P226, and fixed barrel pistols. The standard threaded endcap is available threaded 1/2x28 or M13.5x1. On special order, a steel endcap is available threaded 1/2x36 for the Colt 9mm submachine gun.

L.I.D (Linear Inertial Decoupler.: The L.I.D. mount (patent pending) enhances cycling on Browning Design pistols by providing increased recoil impulse. It is generally required on Glock pistols and is available threaded 1/2x28 as well as M13.5x1.

3-LUG: The Multimount-3-LUG uses the patented Gemtech 3-lug mounting system for the H&K MP5. Gemtech can modify other 9mm firearms to the 3-lug configuration (AR15, M16, Uzi, MAC, etc.).

TALON: The TALON features a correct flat-top upper receiver for the Colt 635 9mm M16 submachine gun with a non-ported 5 inch barrel and a full rail-type handguard for mounting optical sights and other tactical accessories. The non-ported barrel delivers full terminal ballistics expected from the 9mm cartridge utilizing the popular 147 grain projectiles.

Constructed of aircraft grade aluminum alloys, this unit does not utilize any bore obstructing "wipes" or mesh. The advanced baffle design creates remarkable performance absolutely dry. This device is an exceptionally effective tool for tactical users. A small amount of light oil is suggested for use in explosive atmospheres. All maintenance requirements can be performed without disassembly of the suppressor module. The instruction manual details the necessary maintenance on the L.I.D. mount as well as the Tri-Lock mount for 3-lug barrels.

The Multimount suppressor replaces the Vortex-9 and Trinity suppressors.

Based on extensive experience designing the widely acclaimed Vortex-2 suppressor and the success of the original Outback, Gemtech introduces the Outback-II, which is designed specifically as an affordable, high efficiency thread-on muzzle suppressor for the universally available .22LR weapons. Although highly affordable, this unit sacrifices no performance or significant features of its parent, the Vortex-2. This is an ideal unit to have available for that "rainy day." The Outback-II  utilizes Gemtech's frequency shifting baffle stack that shifts significant amounts of the sound energy beyond the range of human hearing.

OASIS

The OASIS is a lightweight, integrally suppressed replacement top end for the popular Ruger MK-II or MK-III pistol. Constructed from one solid billet, there are no ugly, fragile seams between the suppressor and receiver. Accuracy and sound performance are outstanding. The overall length of the suppressed weapon is significantly less than any other integral .22 pistol available. Weight, size, accuracy, terminal ballistics, and sound performance are outstanding, making this an ideal companion for the dedicated outdoorsman.

The OASIS consists of the suppressed, barreled receiver (with adjustable sights) only and does not include the magazine, bolt, grip, or trigger assembly.

The  overall length of the OASIS is only two inches longer than the standard bull barreled Ruger MK-II or MK-III pistol.

The "R" model is a suppressed barrel for the Ruger 1022 .22 rifle.

Sub-Machine Gun Suppressors

The MOSSAD-II is designed specifically for the full-sized UZI 9mm submachine gun and for the Mini-UZI. Both mount on the existing barrel and simply replace the barrel retaining nut. Precision cut ratchet teeth prevent unintentional unscrewing of the suppressor.

Weighing only 12 ounces and measuring 10.7 inches in length, this unit has no adverse effect on either the handling or accuracy of the weapon. The MOSSAD-II outperforms any comparable sized suppressor and many that are significantly larger and more expensive. It satisfies the demand for a small, light-weight tactical submachine gun suppressor.

The unit features precision CNC machined aluminum baffles in a hard black anodized body utilizing aircraft grade aluminum alloys. As with all of our units, no wipes or mesh packings are used, and the suppressor is designed to operate absolutely dry. Cleaning can be accomplished by simple immersion in solvents.

The MK-9K suppressor is intended for use on the Heckler & Koch MP5 (and MP5K-PDW) submachine guns as a state of the art, compact flash and sound suppressor for tactical situations.  An outgrowth of our well known full-sized MK-9, the MK-9K maintains the suppression efficiency of the original full sized unit in a suppressor that is only 7.5 inches long. Although shorter than competing suppressors, the MK-9K provides superior performance with significantly less weight.

The unit features a stainless steel baffle core in a hard black anodized aluminum body utilizing aircraft grade aluminum alloys. Muzzle velocity and accuracy are not affected by the unit, and it is engineered to handle high volume fully automatic fire. As with all of our units, no wipes or mesh packings are used, and the suppressor can be partially disassembled for maintenance if desired.

The MK-9K is designed to mount on the standard H&K 3-lug barrel utilizing the Gemtech Tri-Lock (patented) quick detach coupler, a secure 3-lug coupling device. On special order (at a reduced cost) it can be configured to mount on standard 1/2x28, 1/2x32, or 1/2x36 threads. A 3-lug adapter is available for the Colt 9mm submachine gun.

The RAPTOR-II is one in a series of light weight, physically small, highly effective sound suppressors designed specifically for the Heckler & Koch MP5 9mm submachine guns.  The RAPTOR mounts directly on the H&K 3-lug barrel utilizing as standard equipment the Gemtech Tri-Lock (patented) quick detach mount.  A 3-lug adapter is available for the Colt 9mm submachine gun.

The RAPTOR-II is truly a workhorse and the standard against which all MP5 suppressors are measured. The lifespan of the RAPTOR-II is truly phenomenal. A unit was recently returned for repair with a documented 175,000 rounds (both jacked and cast lead bullets). We did sound measurements, and the performance after all this use just barely met OSHA and MIL-STD requirements. We replaced the unit.

Physical Specifications:

The SAR57 suppressor in 5.7x28 is for use with the 5-7 Center AR15 uppers. Similar to our SFN-57 pistol suppressor, it is slightly longer, ending in our aggressively-textured rear mount, which allows the suppressor to fit under, but slightly stick forward of the rail system so it may be grabbed to remove and install. This durable and featherweight unit may also be used on .22lr, .22 Magnum, 5mm Remington, .17HMR, and other lesser calibers.

The VIPER series suppressors have been specifically engineered to mount securely on the unmodified M10 and M11 Ingram submachine gun barrels.   Gemtech's patent pending mounting system prevents unintentional loosening or unscrewing during use, even if the user does not hold the suppressor. Initial installation is simple, and subsequent installation and removal simply involves sliding the suppressor handguard forward to disengage the locking mechanism.

The VIPER retains the classic cosmetics of the Sionics-type suppressor in a modern design. Although significantly smaller than the Sionics design, the Viper significantly outperforms the original by more than 10 dB.

Normally in inventory is the VIPER (renamed VIPER-9) for the M10 and M11 9mm submachine guns. Occasionally available (but not an inventory item) is the VIPER-380 designed specifically for the M11 MAC and RPB .380 Ingram submachine guns and also designed to operate with the SWD .380 version of their weapon. The full size VIPER-45 is designed specifically for the MAC M10 weapon in the popular .45ACP cartridge.

Centerfire Rifle Suppressors

The HALO was designed to meet specific international military requirements for a compact, high efficiency suppressor for the 5.56mm weapons utilizing NATO ball ammunition. The additional requirement was that the suppressor be able to quickly attach securely to a 22 mm standard NATO specification flash hider without the use of tools. The HALO suppressor meets and exceeds these requirements in a physically small package.

The HALO utilizes the proven baffle design from the well known and highly successful M4-96D and is manufactured on the latest state-of-the-art CNC manufacturing centers from space age materials.  It provides sound reduction well in excess of OSHA and MIL-STD requirements in a physically compact package. Additionally, there is no degradation of weapon accuracy. Suppressor life is known to exceed 25,000 rounds.

The patented mounting system utilizes the 22 mm standard NATO-specification bird-cage type flash hider as used by the military worldwide. Mounting or removal can be performed without the use of tools in less than 30 seconds. Because the mount uses the flash hider, it is necessary that the flash hider be concentric with the bore. Some of the AR15/M16 series weapons may have had the flash hider mounted with a split-ring lockwasher or a crush washer. The split-ring lockwasher will not keep the flash hider concentric and must be remounted. The newer crush washer may or may not keep the flash hider aligned properly, and we recommend re-mounting the flash hider with the provided peel washer. This suppressor and mount were designed specifically for military weapons and may not fit on non-standard aftermarket flash hiders or muzzle brakes often found in the United States. If there is any question, it is fairly simple to change to a 22 mm NATO specification flash hider, such as the Colt A2.

The suppressor comes with detailed instructions for installation and use. It also includes a peel washer for remounting of the AR15/M16 flash hider should the original flash hider be mounted with either a split-ring lockwasher or a crush washer.

Full Automatic Fire Issues:

Suppressors shown with or designed for machine guns are rated for fully automatic fire. In the case of suppressors designed for .223 (5.56mm), there are some limitations in the duration of fully automatic fire due to shortcomings in the ammunition, not the suppressor. 5.56mm is a unique cartridge. The projectile is physically small and lightweight having a relatively large surface area for the small mass. The relatively high muzzle velocity causes excessive barrel heating from friction, with outside barrel temperatures exceeding 700° F in a 100 round burst. Bore temperature is considerably higher. The projectile contains a small quantity of lead, which after a 90 round burst has started to soften and/or melt. The softening of the lead core results in geometric instability of the projectile, causing excessive yawing, tumbling, and suppressor baffle contact. These effects are not normally seen anywhere near this early in larger caliber projectiles, such as 7.62 NATO. Although the suppressor is capable of withstanding long bursts using ammunition not containing any lead, any lead containing 5.56mm ammunition will damage the suppressor. Because of the deleterious heating effect, most weapon manufacturers place serious limitations on sustained fully automatic fire and state that the barrel is ruined after a 200 round burst.

The G5 replaces the venerable M4-96D in a shorter, lighter, and more efficient package. It meets the requirements that the suppressor be quickly and securely attached to and removed from the weapon's flash hider without tools. The G5 suppressor not only meets, but exceeds SOCOM requirements in a physically small package that only adds 5.5 inches to the overall weapon system length.

The all new Gemtech Quik-Mount mounting system (patents pending) provides the fastest, one-handed install — simply push and twist — with no gates, levers, or locks. There are no springs to lose tension or break and allow the suppressor to unscrew. There are no external flash hider threads with potential for damage or loosening. The TREK is our shortest, most rugged threadmount suppressor: a 5.56mm unit suitable for full auto and usage on modern, shorter barrel (10.4" or greater) carbines. The quietest of the Gemtech threadmounting suppressors, it also features a short profile that keeps compact carbines compact. 

The TREK is made of rugged stainless steels and inconel, with welded construction.

The TREK-T is our shortest, 5.56mm titanium suppressor: Its tough construction is suitable for full auto and usage on modern, shorter barrel (10.4" or greater) carbines. The TREK series of suppressors are the quietest of the Gemtech threadmount units, but while this compact, lightweight can makes no compromises on sound reduction, its short profile keeps compact carbines compact. 

The TREK-T weighs in at a featherweight 10.3 ounces - subtracting the couple ounces and inches of flash hider removed from the host rifle, this gives a net gain of only around 8 ounces - a small weight penalty to pay for OSHA safe hearing protection mounted on the weapon at all times!

Subsonic ammunition utilizing heavy, boat-tail projectiles do not stabilize adequately to avoid baffle contact in barrels with a twist rate slower than 1 turn in 8 inches. This ammunition is used at the owner's risk, and damage caused by subsonic ammunition is not covered under warranty.
