  • What is an FFL?
    manager23-01-2016

A "FFL" is a Federal Firearm License.  There are approximately 60,000 FFL holders nationwide.  FFL holders are often gun stores, pawn shops, and retail sporting goods stores, as well as private individuals running ‘small businesses’, sometimes from home.  Per Federal Law, ALL firearms sold to individuals (individual in this case is defined as a person who does NOT have an FFL) online must be shipped to a local (same state as the individual) FFL holder who will then transfer the firearm (via ATF form 4473 and associated background check per State and Federal Law) to the individual.

  • How do I arrange to have a FFL handle my transfer?
    manager23-01-2016

You are responsible for selecting an FFL convenient to your home location; however we may be able to assist you as we do business with FFL’s all over the country.  Once you have selected the FFL that you’d like to accept your firearm, YOU need to have them email us a copy of their FFL (sales@internationalpolicesupply.net).  Most FFL’s are very familiar with this process.  Please communicate with your chosen FFL prior to completing your purchase with us. You will want to ask for their approval of the transfer as well as find out their transfer fee and any special procedures you need to take to get the firearm from them.

  • How much is an FFL transfer fee if I have your ship a firearm to my FFL dealer?
    manager23-01-2016

Transfer fee varies widely among FFL holders, and can depend upon what else needs to be done by them to comply with your local or State laws before you can take possession of the firearm.  Generally, transfer fees are between $50 and $100.  With the advent of ‘discount’ FFL dealers online, many FFLs are even choosing not to accept transfers from many online gun stores, or they are charging ‘special’ transfer fees to receive firearms from those dealers.  For the exact transfer fee, please contact your chosen FFL directly.

  • Can you ship my firearm direct to me at my home or office?
    manager23-01-2016

If you are an Individual, then NO, all firearms must be shipped to a verified FFL (Federal Firearm License) holder.  If you are purchasing for a Law Enforcement Department, or a Federal Agency, then, YES, we can ship to the Department or Agency direct, if certain conditions are met.  We will discuss these with you upon your order.

  • How do I know if I can legally purchase a firearm?
    manager19-03-2016

Before you're able to take possession of your firearm from your dealer you will be required to pass a background check. In most states, this is a fairly simple process, and is done either online or through a phone call the FFL makes to your State Law Enforcement agency or the FBI.  If you have a questions as to whether or not you will pass the background check, your best bet is to ask a local FFL as State and Local laws very across the country.

  • Is there a different price for ‘Cash’ vs. paying by Credit Card?
    manager19-03-2016

The advertised price on all of our items on our website are discounted 3% for payment by “cash”.  This price is earned by paying for your order with cash, check, money order, electronic check or other secured form of check payment. While we do not recommend sending cash via mail, we do have local customers who buy online and bring cash when picking up their order. Unsecure payments by mail, such as personal or company checks, will delay shipping 7-10 business days to allow the funds to clear.  Payment by Credit Card does not earn the 3% discount and will be processed at the regular price which is 3% higher than our advertised price.

  • Can I get the ‘Cash’ price if I use my Debit Card?
    manager19-03-2016

Many debit cards are also credit cards.  As we do not have the option to accept debit cards and associated personal PIN numbers, your debit/credit card can only be run as a credit card.  For us to run your debit card as a debit payment, you would have to give us your secret PIN number, which we do not advise, and will never request.

  • You are advertising a lower price on the same item that I just purchased from you – why is that?
    manager19-03-2016

We price our guns manually based on our cost to replace them (ie. our current price to purchase them).  Sometimes we are able to purchase the same model at a lower price tomorrow than we did last week, and at those times, we discount our price on those less expensive guns when we post them online.  We are sorry, but we cannot offer you a discount on the firearm you purchased if you find it listed for a less expensive price on our site after you have purchased it

  • Why is my credit card charged when I placed my order, but my order still has not been shipped?
    manager19-03-2016

All orders placed are first checked against available inventory before any payment is sent through credit card processing, and likewise before any check is presented for payment.  Once we have determined that adequate stock is on hand to fill your order, we then present your credit card/check for payment.   Only after payment has been received successfully do we prepare your order for shipment.

  • Do you price match?
    manager19-03-2016

Sometimes.  We will always price match anytime you present us with a higher price that you find elsewhere online.  J  When presented with a verifiable lower price, we will do our best to match price.  Sometimes we are successful, sometimes we are not.  Our prices are based upon what we have paid for the item, and we are not always able to match other prices that are found on the internet or advertised elsewhere.  Emails us your request, your backup, and we’ll see what we can do.

  • I submitted my payment by ACH/E-Check and the money was taken from my account. Why hasn't my order shipped?
    manager19-03-2016

Payments made via ACH/E-Checks are not electronic funds transfer payments and take a full 5-7 business days for the funds to show available in our account. The payment will generally show as being deducted from your account within the first 24-48 hours. However, the funds are not available in our account until the 5th – 7th full business day. Items are prepared for shipping once funds are successfully in our account.

  • Do you accept PayPal?
    manager19-03-2016

NO- WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL!!!

PayPal refuses to process payments for firearms or ammunition, or accessories thereof. Per PayPal’s own web site:

    Top of Form

    Bottom of Form

"We don’t allow PayPal members to buy or sell any kind of firearm, whether it’s in working order or not. The same goes for certain firearm parts and ammunition.”

“For example, using PayPal, you can’t buy or sell:

    • Any firearm, including rifles, shotguns, and handguns, whether they’re for sport and recreation, collectibles, or curio or relic firearms.
    • Firearm parts, including but not limited to receivers and frames, silencers, and kits designed to modify guns so that they fire automatically. High capacity magazines, multi-burst trigger activators, and camouflaging firearm containers are other items in this category.

Ammunition, including propellants like gunpowder or blank ammunition; ammunition or cartridge cases; and primers, bullets, or propellant powder designed for any firearm."

  • Why do you ship "within 3 to 5 business days" of completing my order?
    manager19-03-2016

Our goal is to ship to you ASAP upon receiving your payment.  Sometimes we are out in the field performing demonstrations or training and we may not be back at our shipping location to ship exactly when your payment comes through.  Also, we try to not ship at the end of the week if we know that a firearm is going to be held in a shippers facility over a weekend/holiday.  We prefer to ship earlier in the week so that the package is kept in constant motion from us to you.  There is less chance of ‘loss’ that way.

  • Do you accept gun trades and/or will you buy my used gun?
    manager19-03-2016

Maybe. We are always looking to acquire quality firearms at a good price.  Please let us know what you have, give us a full description, and email us multiple photos of the item so we can assess its condition.  We will then quote you a price that we will give you in credit for it, or offer you a straight cash purchase price.  If we come to an agreement, we will arrange shipping of the gun from you to us and guide you through the proper paperwork.   This includes Cl 3 items.

  • I just received my new gun. It looks as if it's been fired, why is that?
    manager19-03-2016

Most new firearms are test fired at the factory. You may notice residual powder, rotation marks on revolver cylinders, impact marks on shell deflectors, residual lubrication which sometimes appears to look like rust, or may have attracted dust or dirt, etc. All firearms sold as "new" are in fact new in box as received from the manufacturer or distributor and include new manufacturer’s warranty.   Any used firearms we sell are clearly described as ‘used’ and we make every attempt to identify any substantial marks or marring on the finish that will affect the gun’s value and we use descriptors to indicate condition: Excellent, Very Good, Good, Poor, etc.  If you have questions about the condition of a used gun, please email us and we will do our best to answer your concerns.

  • Do you offer discounts to Military and Law Enforcement Officers?
    manager19-03-2016

We do offer Military and Law Enforcement discounts to active and retired members of the US Armed Forces or US Police Departments. Many items we sell have separate pricing structures from the manufacturer that allow us to do this.   Some manufacturers have separate Law Enforcement purchasing programs that we may or may not participate in, so those discounts may or may not be available on any particular item.   At other times, we may discount our regular products to qualified individuals.   However, marked down, specially priced or ‘sale’ items have all discounts already applied, and we are unable to offer any further discounts.  Please email us when you place your order and we’ll be able to tell you if there is a discount available on the item you are ordering, and what it is.  You will need to provide proof of your affiliation along with your order before we will answer.  Also, understand that ‘retired’ has a specific meaning and is a designation that is earned.  ‘Prior service’ is not the same as ‘retired’.

  • What is your return policy ?
    manager19-03-2016

Our return policy generally allows for item(s) return and your choice of a full refund or replacement item(s).  However, we do have some stipulations regarding returns.

    1. Firearms - It is solely the customer’s responsibility to thoroughly inspect the firearm(s) at the FFL prior to accepting the transfer.  If there is a noticeable defect of any kind to the firearm, or associated case/contents, please instruct your FFL dealer to not accept the shipment from the carrier, and the item will be returned to us. Once we receive the item back from the carrier we will issue the customer a full refund or replacement firearm if available.  If the customer accepts the transfer from the FFL or the FFL accepts the package from the carrier, we can then only refer the customer to the manufacturer for warranty consideration.  All new firearms are sold with a full manufacturer’s warranty that is serviced by the manufacturer directly (warranties vary by manufacturer). Any used firearms are sold with no warranty and no returns accepted.  We attempt to be very specific in our description of used firearms and often will often err on the ‘low’ side of describing condition with the hopes that our customer will be pleasantly surprised.  If you have any questions on any used firearms condition, email us and we will work with you to get you the description you need to make an educated decision prior to purchase.
    2. Accessories - ALL accessories found to be defective immediately upon receipt, will be exchanged for the same item, store credit or a full refund. If there is a noticeable defect of any kind to the accessory, or associated case/contents, please not accept the shipment from the carrier, and the item will be returned to us. Once we receive the item back from the carrier we will issue the customer a full refund or replacement item if available.  If the customer accepts package from the carrier, we can then only refer the customer to the manufacturer for warranty consideration.  Any used items are sold with no warranty and no returns are accepted.
    3. Special Order Items – all special order items are pre-paid and are non-returnable and non- refundable.
    4. NFA items - All NFA items are non-returnable and non-refundable.

    5. Electronic Sights, Illumination Devices, Optics, Night Vision equipment, GPS’s and Body Armor – All such items are non-returnable and non-refundable.  Please direct any warranty issues to the manufacturer.

  • Where are you located? I’d love to come by and look at all those cool guns you have….
    manager19-03-2016

We operate out of a restricted access location, and as such, we do not allow ‘walk –in’ visitors.   We deal with many US Government, Military and Law Enforcement customers, and in the interest of security we do not contemplate browsing of our inventory on an unofficial basis.   We do set up at the “Nations Gun Show” in Chantilly, VA approximate every 4 weeks, and we would be happy to meet our customers there in person to discuss how we can help you meet your firearms needs.  In addition, we attempt to keep our website up to date with our current inventory.

  • Do you ship firearms to California?
    manager19-03-2016

    No

  • Will you ship me hi-capacity magazines?
    manager19-03-2016

Yes, except where your local law dictates otherwise.  Don’t order a hi-capacity (over 10 round) magazine if it is illegal where you live:

California - No Magazines Over 10 Rounds
Hawaii - No Pistol Magazines Over 10 Rounds
Maryland - No Magazines Over 20 Rounds
Massachusetts - No Magazines Over 10 Rounds
New Jersey - No Magazines Over 15 Rounds
New York City - No Magazines Over 10 Rounds
New York State - No Magazines Over 17 Rounds
Washington D.C. - No Magazines Over 10 Rounds

  • You made a mistake on your website in pricing/description/photo – can I get that super low price/cool item/extra accessories?
    manager19-03-2016

Our online inventory changes every day. Occasionally an item may appear on the site by mistake or the item's description may contain a typographical error. We do not guarantee that titles, descriptions, pictures or prices on our site are error-free. We reserve the right to refuse any order including but not limited to orders for items with errors in the description or price. In the event that we cancel an order we will not charge the customer's credit card or we will refund the money.

If an item's description contains an error such as incorrect photo, price, accessory or description and a customer makes the order, we will not process the order without first contacting the customer. If the order is mistakenly shipped, we may advise the customer to return the item in an unopened condition and we will refund the customer. By placing an order, the customer agrees that International Police Supply will be the final arbiter of discrepancies in any order.
